The AC wallbox — smart solar charging for any EV owner

The Sigenergy AC wallbox is a smart home EV charger that works with any electric vehicle and integrates directly with the Sigenergy SigenStor ecosystem. It charges using AC power, which means your car’s onboard charger handles the power conversion. For most households this is the practical daily charging solution, particularly when paired with solar.

7kW single phase or up to 22kW three phase

Available in single-phase 7kW for standard homes or three-phase options up to 22kW for faster charging. The right configuration depends on your home’s electrical supply and how quickly you want to charge.

Solar surplus charging

When paired with a SigenStor system, the charger detects available solar surplus and adjusts its charge rate to match. Rather than sending excess solar to the grid at a low feed-in rate, it redirects that energy into your car.

Multiple charging modes

Choose between solar-only charging, solar and battery combined, or fast charging using all available energy sources. Schedule charging during off-peak tariff windows through the Sigenergy app.

Dynamic load management

Dynamic load management monitors your home’s total power draw and adjusts the charger output to prevent tripping the main breaker. Other appliances running at the same time as the charger does not create a problem.

Compatible with all EV brands

The AC wallbox uses a standard Type 2 connector and works with all electric vehicles sold in Australia. You do not need a Sigenergy battery system to use the AC charger, though integration with SigenStor unlocks the solar charging features.
Sigenergy DC EV charger

The DC module — fast bidirectional charging for SigenStor owners

The DC charging module is a different class of product to the AC wallbox. It converts power before it reaches your vehicle, delivering electricity directly to your car’s battery rather than relying on the car’s onboard charger to do the conversion. The result is significantly faster charging and, uniquely, the ability to run power in reverse — from your EV back to your home or back to the grid. The DC module must be part of a SigenStor system. It cannot be installed as a standalone product.

12.5kW or 25kW output

Available in a 12.5kW and a 25kW module. The 25kW module can add roughly 150km of range per hour of charging, which is significantly faster than any AC charger in a residential setting.

Vehicle-to-Home (V2H)

With a compatible EV, your car battery can power your home during a grid outage. In Townsville where cyclone events can knock out the grid, a large EV battery paired with V2H capability provides meaningful backup power.

Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G)

Export stored energy from your EV battery back to the grid through Virtual Power Plant programs. V2G capability means your car becomes an active part of your home energy system, not just a vehicle that needs charging.

CCS2 connector

Uses the CCS2 Combined Charging System connector standard, which is found on most modern electric vehicles in Australia. A 10-metre cable gives practical reach in most garage and driveway configurations.

IP66 rated

Requires SigenStor system

The DC module connects downstream of the SigenStor energy controller and cannot be installed as a standalone charger. It is an add-on for existing or new SigenStor installations, not a standalone product.

Requires a SigenStor system. Delivers significantly faster charging than AC and enables V2H and V2G with compatible EVs. The right choice for SigenStor owners who drive an EV that supports bidirectional charging and want to use their car as part of their home energy system. V2H compatibility is currently limited to select EV models — ask us about your specific vehicle before committing.

Important to know

A note on V2H and V2G compatibility

Vehicle-to-Home and Vehicle-to-Grid capability through the Sigenergy DC module is available in Australia, but it requires your electric vehicle to support bidirectional charging via the CCS2 standard. As of 2025, compatibility has been confirmed with a limited number of EV models in Australia including the Volvo C40, BYD Atto 3 and Ford F-150 Lightning.

If your EV is not on the confirmed compatibility list, V2H and V2G will not be available to you even with the DC module installed. The DC module will still function as a fast DC charger for supported vehicles, but the bidirectional features require specific vehicle hardware.
