Our story
Two decades of doing it properly
True North Solar was founded in Townsville in 2005. We started as a solar and electrical business when the industry was still in its early days in North Queensland, and we have been here through every rebate scheme, technology shift and market change since.
A lot of solar companies have come and gone. Many of the systems installed in Townsville over the last 15 years are now what the industry calls orphaned — the installing company has shut down, and the owner has nobody to call when something goes wrong. We are still here. That matters.
We operate out of our workshop in Garbutt, Townsville. We employ our own electricians and solar technicians. We design, install and service every system ourselves. When you call us, you speak to the people who did the work.

Qualified, accredited and accountable
Every system we install is completed by our own nationally recognised Clean Energy Council accredited electricians and solar technicians. Our accreditations are not a formality. They are the standard we hold ourselves to on every job.
